Terms & Conditions

Enrolment and Attendance

Ongoing Enrolment

Students are assumed to continue with weekly tutorials during the school term unless we are notified otherwise. If your child will no longer require tutoring, please inform us promptly to avoid missed appointment fees.

No Contract Required

There is no contract to sign, and students are not required to commit to a term or a minimum number of tutorials. Parents may discontinue tutoring at any time by giving appropriate notice.

Attendance

Regular attendance is important for academic progress. Students are expected to attend their scheduled tutorial sessions each week during term time, unless prior notification of non-attendance has been given.

Payment Terms

Tuition Fees

Small group tutorials: $80 per 1.5-hour session
One-to-one tutorials: $88 per 45-minute session

Payment Schedule

Tutorial fees are payable after every 4 lessons. An invoice will be emailed to parents with fee details and payment instructions.

Payment can be made by:

Cash or card at the tutoring centre
Credit card over the phone
Direct deposit
PayID

Overdue Payments

Payment is expected within 7 days of the invoice date. Tutoring may be suspended if payment becomes significantly overdue.

Cancellations and Missed Tutorials

Advance Cancellation (At Least One Day Before)

If notification is made at least one day in advance of a scheduled tutorial, no fee will be charged. A replacement tutorial may be possible, subject to availability.

Same-Day Cancellation

Tutorials cancelled on the day of the scheduled session will incur a late cancellation fee of $16.50. This fee helps us maintain an organised schedule and respects the tutor's time.

Missed Appointments

Students who miss a tutorial without prior notification will be charged the full lesson fee.

Suspension of Lessons

Students may suspend lessons for a period of time (for example, during school holidays or due to other commitments). However, their regular time slot cannot be guaranteed.

Tutor Availability

In the unlikely event that the tutor is unavailable due to illness or emergency, students will be notified as soon as possible.

Materials and Resources

Centre Resources

The tutoring centre provides access to an extensive library of textbooks, notes, practice materials, and exam papers for use during tutorials.

Student Materials

Students may need to bring their own exercise book, calculator, and any relevant school materials to tutorials.

Intellectual Property

All teaching materials and resources created by the Accelerated Learning Tutoring Centre remain the intellectual property of the tuition centre. Materials provided to students are for personal educational use only and may not be reproduced or distributed.

Liability and Conduct

Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality tutoring that supports student learning, Accelerated Learning Tutoring Centre cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes or exam results. Tutorial services are provided to support and supplement school education.

Student Conduct

Students are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately during tutorials. Disruptive behaviour that interferes with the learning of other students may result in termination of tutoring services.

Safety and Supervision

Parents are responsible for their child's transportation to and from the tutoring centre. The tutor's duty of care begins when the student enters the tutorial room and ends when the tutorial session concludes.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Student academic information and progress will be kept confidential and will only be discussed with parents/guardians. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect and protect personal information.

Refunds

Fees paid for completed tutorials are non-refundable. If you have paid in advance and wish to discontinue tutoring, any unused prepaid fees will be refunded.
